Gulshan-e-Iqbal Library was established on 1st March 1991. This is a public library .Gulshan-e-Iqbal Library is local center of information , making all kinds of knowledge and information readily available to its user. Gulshan-e-Iqbal library is providing services  for all public , regardless of age , race , sex , religion , nationality , language or social status . All age group readers must find materials relevant to their needs.

Basic objectives of the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Library is to provide material for the people of the community to use for :

Gulshan-e-Iqbal Library contains more than 3000 books on all subjects and for all age group readers.
Newspapers Daily Jang, Aman, Express, Qomi (in Urdu)  & Daily DAWN (in English) newspapers are available for public.
Magazines Library subscribes to well over 9 national and international ( weekly & monthly ) magazines in Urdu and English .  (i.e. Akhbar-e-Jehan , Family Magazine , Khawateen and Pakeeza digest , SHE , Dalda ka Desterkhan , rabita , the MAG , Spider etc)
 
Book Issuing Procedure
Any person regardless of the place of residence can use the library. Any person can issue books for home after depositing original national identity card, which is returned back at the time of book returning to the library.

Gulshan-e-Iqbal Library is situated at extremity of KHAWATEEN PARK in the vicinity of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town. Library is fully furnished and has a educational environment .
